Advanced Records Management and the Role of MoReq2. Thursday 27th November 2008 - Copthorne Hotel, Slough
The increasing prevalence of digitally-created documents, emails and rich media is presenting records managers and information officers with new issues and challenges as they seek to ensure long-term validity of their organisations' records and information assets. MoReq2 - the Model Requirements Specification for the Management of Electronic Records - is set to become the de-facto international resource for all managers of existing records management systems, and those involved in new implementation projects. Published in March 2008 and supported by the UK National Archives and the EU, it is applicable to the whole of the public sector. This one-day workshop sets out to improve the understanding of the document, highlight additions and changes from the earlier standard, and provide guidance on how to use it as part of a new procurement or an existing roll-out. Speakers include Marc Fresko from Serco, lead author of the standard, and Richard Blake, Head of Electronic Records at the UK National Archives. For more information Go to www.rmworkshop.org.uk |
