US Department of Defence certifies DocuWare
DocuWare 5.1 – a type of Integrated Document Management software – has met the stringent requirements of the United States of America Department of Defence (DoD), making DocuWare the first European standard software for document management proven to conform to DoD guidelines.

 

Stefan Schindler, director for DocuWare Limited said: “The DoD certification process is one of the toughest standards worldwide. DocuWare mastered all of the challenges – again showing that expensive, industry-specific, custom solutions for Records Management are not needed for public administration. Governmental institutions and other organisations in the US are strictly regulated, particularly when it comes to the management and security of documents. As a result, the DoD’s Standard 5015 has become a type of benchmark for compliance issues. DoD certification lets governmental institutions know that a software programme meets all requirements when implemented and used correctly.
