The field rugged range utilises ultra-strong magnesium alloy, is tested to exacting environmental standards (MIL-STD-810F) and is specifically designed to meet the mission-critical computing needs of mobile workers facing the most demanding of environments.
The executive range incorporates many of the vibration and shock protection mechanisms utilised within the rugged range and embraces the latest computing technology to suit the most demanding of business executive applications. Equally impressive is the Toughbook's level of specification: all with Wireless Ready Intel® Centrino Mobile Technology and with touchscreen displays, integrated wireless GSM/GPRS, Bluetooth or GPS as optional features.
The Toughbook series has been designed by Panasonic to accommodate the latest computing technology and work in a range of environmental conditions. Consequently, the product range is used by a diverse customer base, the largest being in the public sector having acquired several thousand of the Toughbook products since the introduction of the range in the early 1990’s.
