We have developed a cross-platform suite of applications that help our clients address issues, such as compliance, security, storage, and uptime, that can affect their email and collaboration systems, which are compatible with Novell GroupWise, Microsoft Exchange and IBM Lotus Notes/Domino and are used daily by thousands of enterprise organizations worldwide. We help our clients proactively assess and mitigate against these risks so that they can enjoy the benefits of enhanced productivity and lower operating costs and attain what we call Business-Driven Email.

Messaging Architects has a global presence with a team of 80 associates, as well as a dozen integrators world-wide, who sell, install, and support our solutions. While we have a very strong relationship with Novell and we are the clear leaders in the GroupWise market, we are also expanding in the Exchange and Notes markets, as we continue to develop our cross-platform product portfolio.

Our innovative M+ Platform represents the next generation of email firewall technology that we believe will dramatically alter the way IT professionals deal with the threats facing their email and collaboration systems. As the number of threats and risks increases and regulatory factors gain precedence in the paradigm of managing communication, point solutions become lees and less viable as an approach to managing enterprise-class messaging infrastructures. Clients need to know that their systems are well protected across the board and that there is virtually no chance of policy gaps that could lead to downtime or legal problems or regulatory fines. At the same time, managing this increasingly complex network of electronic communication and records repository requires mechanisms that would reduce the complexity while ensuring technical reliability and warranty against potential compliance breaches.

Over the past years, we at Messaging Architects took it upon ourselves to redefine the management of collaboration, taking into account the evolution of messaging technology with the dramatic increase in the risks associated with it. We realized that the only way to effectively manage the corporate collaboration system was from a policy perspective. Taking this idea as our starting point, we developed our M+ Extensible Platform architecture which started with a Directory and an Identity-Based Policy Engine at the very foundation of the solution. This policy engine basically leverages directory back-up and replication technologies so there is never any hardware dependency or a single point of failure on the network. Using the rich heritage of network management tools and the policies that were developed there, we leveraged the directory-driven identity paradigm and applied it to making email better.

The result is the M+ Platform - a hyper-intelligent and scalable MTA that lets organizations create smart policy containers to mirror internal policy decisions. Once created, these policies are applied to an organizational unit in the corporate tree. When new users are added in the context, they automatically inherit all the policy attributes for a dramatically simplified management. In addition, the M+ Platform offers is full application-level clustering dedicated 100% to SMTP traffic, as well as real-time monitoring with MailScope. MailScope is a probe on every M+ server that feeds back data points over an encrypted tunnel to our data center and alerts us of problems before you might event know about them and offer appropriate measures to ensure the uninterrupted availability of your email system.
