Our primary consideration is to ensure that all sensitive customer data is securely removed from returned assets This is achieved by one of four methods:
- Military standard software erasure
- ‘Top secret” (IL6) - CESG approved data erasure
- Shredding hardware containing sensitive data
- Degaussing sensitive hardware
Process control is achieved using our bespoke We3 software. This allows organisations to meet all legal and environmental IT legislation by:
- Enabling full track and trace capability by capturing date and time stamp at every stage of the process
- Providing comprehensive audit trail for each consignment
- Delivering full asset reporting
The objective when processing surplus/ excess IT equipment is to maximise refurb and reuse. That way 100 per cent of the hardware is recycled into the market.
Only when this proves uneconomical do we breakdown the products for harvesting at the individual commodity level.
Where equipment has a high residual value, we offer either an upfront fee to purchase the hardware or, suggest a ‘gain-share’ approach, allowing the customer to benefit from any resulting profit on sale.
